What does it mean to be human? Psalm 8 answers that question by first turning our attention away from ourselves and toward the God who made us — because we cannot truly understand who we are until we understand who He is. Though we are small against the vastness of creation, we are not insignificant: the God who created and rules the heavens is mindful of us.
This message walks through the majesty of God, the mindfulness of God, and the mission of man — how He made us in His image, crowned humanity with glory and honor, and gave us a purpose within His creation. Ultimately Psalm 8 points beyond us to Jesus, the majestic God who took on humanity, came to save sinners, died, and rose again.
